Crisis, extractivism and debt Jun 23 – Jul 23
What is the connection between economic crisis, migration, and the climate crisis? The publication brings together expert perspectives as well as lived experiences from migrants directly affected by these intersecting forces. María José Gordillo, Mariano Féliz and Darío Farcy explore this urgent question through a thoughtful analysis of today’s global context.

As part of the BLH team, I was responsible for the complete editorial design — from selecting images and structuring the content, to designing the final layout of the booklet.

Design Goals

The publication had to present a complex political and economic analysis in a clear and accessible format. The layout had to be flexible enough to adapt to three languages — Spanish, English and German — without losing consistency or impact across versions.

Design Decisions

A two-column layout was used to organize dense content while keeping it readable. Typography choices, color use, and image placement were guided by the need to balance seriousness with a sense of purpose and connection to real-life political context. Visual elements support the flow without softening the critical tone of the publication.

This project was made possible through a collaboration between Movement Hub and Bildungszentrum Lohana Berkins (BLH). Find here the Instagram post and download here the english version.
